Carolyn Gavin

A few months ago I met Carolyn Gavin at the National Stationary Show and we had a lovely chat about life as illustrators.
Carolyn, originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, now lives in Montreal with her husband, daughter Lily and English Bulldog Ziggy. She learned the love of traveling from her parents and spent time in Paris, Turkey, Israel, Portugal and London. Her keen artistic eye absorbed the local colors and shapes and her design work developed.
In 2008 she signed on with the artist rep Lilla Rogers and today works both commercially and continues to develop her range of environmentally friendly stationary Ecojot.
I love her organic shapes combined with earth tones and brighter, fruity colors.
