Britain has a history of commemorating Royal events with souvenir gifts and top of this list are tea towels. With the upcoming wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29th I thought it would be fun to create a limited edition of 100 tea towels as a special collectors piece. It will be available to purchase by mid February but in the meantime you can preorder right here.
Here's a sneak preview followed by a couple from the official Royal souvenir archives.

Ici Coloring Book
Good morning. While we're still on the subject of food and coloring books I realized that I haven't shared a few projects that I did at the end of 2010.
I was contacted by Catherine, the owner of a lovely Fort Greene restaurant called Ici. The food is all locally grown and therefore the menu changes seasonally. They work exclusively with local farms and markets.
We came up with the idea to produce a small coloring book that children could color while having brunch at the weekend. Naturally it provides insight into where their food is coming from and will hopefully spark a little interest in eating healthily. Catherine found some lovely soy based crayons to accompany it.
If you have an idea for a custom coloring book or booklet just let me know.

Anorak Magazine
There are few kid's publications out there that really "wow" me but I always smile when Anorak newsletter arrives in my inbox. Based in London, but available worldwide by subscription, the Anorak team educate children using amazing design, games and stories. They have a great online shop too and this book would have to be top of my list.

Edible Manhattan
I love this magazine and pick it up whenever I can. So, you can imagine how happy I was to see this today. Thank you for writing about my work.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I've finally come up for air following an incredibly busy holiday season and would like to thank all of my readers and customers for their support.
So, what's next for 2011. Well, I'm working away on my new Spring/Summer line which will launch in a couple of months. I'll have some more time to dedicate to my blog and hope to return to weekly posts showing illustration and design that inspires me.
I'm also introducing our seasonal recipes as prints once a month. They will be available in my shop at the beginning of each month.
So, to get things started in the kitchen here's January's Fuchsia Mash print concocted by Sung Uni Lee and illustrated by me. Available to purchase right here.
I'm an illustrator, originally from London and now living in Brooklyn with my husband and 2 boys.
I draw and paint both commercially and for fun whenever possible.
