September 1st Giveaway

This month Carolyn Gavin of Designer Jots and I are doing a double whammy of a competition.

2 lucky entries will each receive 1 of these...an ultra new, 6x9 ecojot jumbo journal, 100% recycled, made in Canada.
150 pages of space where you can sketch a tall building, write a catchy slogan or solve a prickly problem.
Sturdy, dependable and of course, cool. Send in a comment about how you are doing your tiny bit for the environment for your chance to WIN!

Then if you visit designer jots you'll also have a chance to win a signed copy of Tribal Alphabet.
Good luck. Contest winners will be announced Monday September 7th!

  1. I am teaching my babies how to recycle and garden and to turn off the water when they brush their sponge bob teeth...passing it on is part of the deal!

  2. Recycling has always been part of my life... making do or do without, so I use scraps... in my quilts and projects, I use food scraps for soup, just to mention one facet. We recycle paper, plastic, glass, cans....on and on it goes. Old clothes go to the ragbag, or the thrift shop. I learned a long time ago, painters, plumbers, fisherman....all need rags in their industry. Nothing is wasted here.

  3. I am trying not to use plastic bags and to use the same sheet of paper twice and these things. And I use EcoJot journals too. As soon as I could find them, I bought one.

  5. Well, I'm trying to recycle more. Like, when my husband wears out his dress pants so he can't wear them to work anymore, instead of throwing them away, I'm keeping them and thinking of other things I can do with them. Using canvas bags at the grocery store (and other stores!). And I'm trying to go plastic baggie free in my kid's lunches. That's the hardest one for me. I am going to make them some different sizes of cloth snack bags and hopefully that will get me the rest of the way there. Love the Tribal Alphabet book! I've not seen it before and it looks awesome. I'm going to buy a copy for my son's Montessori school.

  7. I'm reducing the need for paper by using last year's one sided handouts and will write all my notes on new handouts...I'm also figuring out ways to use plastic bags and other material into crafts, such as woven cardboard bangles. I LOVE your illustrations I just want to say as a teen I'm very interested by your book! Thanks for the giveaway

  10. Love your book over on designer jots. Well my husband and I recycle, purchase our veggies and such from our local farmers market when available and are looking into purchasing our food from local farmers through out the year! Fresh and local is really so much better.
