Originally from Cuba, he moved to the States with his family when he was 9. He received a B.F.A. in Painting from Pratt Institute in 1994 and an M.F.A. from Hunter College in 1998 and was an art director at TIME magazine from 1994-2008. On top of all that he has maintained a consistent illustration career.
His travel images of Cuba so beautifully capture the essence of his home country.
