HUGE Magazine Cover

About a month ago I was contacted by HUGE magazine in
Japan to do the forth coming cover. My husband's a big fan of this
well designed men's style magazine and I was excited to do a
piece that took me away from my usual subject matter.

They are also collaborating with MUJI in Tokyo on an exhibition
showcasing the work of the artists in this issue.

It's with huge excitement that I can finally reveal
my secret project I've been dying to share for a year now.

I've collaborated with West Elm and created a line of tea towels
and plates for their Summer 2012 collection.
They have been the nicest company to work with allowing me freedom
to come up with ideas.
When they suggested a hot dog plate with a dachshund on it,
I must admit I was dubious but I've fallen for the sausage
dog in a big way. I hope you do too and please head

Some nice Japanese press and our Winter retreat

I'm writing this beside the pool in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic.


It's our third time here and becoming our bi-annual family Winter break.
Las Terrenas is on the Samana peninsula and being a little off the
beaten track it's perfect for us. It's a favorite hang out for French and Italians
so there's all the local culture with smatterings of boulangeries and
amazing Italian restaurants. The beach is incredibly undeveloped
and easy to stroll to beautiful coves and shallow reefs.
Today we're off to hopefully see some whales.

I'll post some photos and illustrations when I return but, in the meantime
this lovely photo of me and my boys came to my inbox a few days
ago and I wanted to share it.
